Digital
X-rays
Digital X-ray contains ninety percent less radiation compared
to regular X-rays. Our office uses the latest digital x-ray equipment
that doesn’t use film or chemicals for development.
Instead of films, a sensor is placed in the patient's
mouth. The sensor is smaller than the holder for conventional x-ray
film. After exposure, the images appear on a computer screen in
just seconds. Digital pictures are more clear than conventional
x-rays film.
Instead of holding up small films that are hard
to see, Dr. Joseph Azizi and the patient can look at the images
on a computer screen together. The images taken can be enhanced
and enlarged many times their actual size.
